Megan's Inner Monologue: Why?

On May 28, 2010, Thing #1 discovered the question that has plagued mankind for centuries. So far he doesn't seem to be tortured by it yet, but I sure am.

So, one day my husband and I were driving somewhere and this is the conversation we had:

Me: Wow, this is really pretty here.
D: (silence)
Me: I forgot to tell you that I started the dishwasher before we left the house. (short pause) Those clouds are amazing. Can I change the channel on the radio? I have to go foodshopping tomorrow, and I can't forget the yogurt this time. Wow, I really need to go pee.
D: (pulling into the parking space at our destination, turns to me and after a brief, yet contemplative pause) You really have no inner monologue, do you?

So I have finally created one...here...for all of you! I can't imagine why anyone would want to read this, so I could very well be doing this just for myself. But, I am okay with that.
