All Aboard!

We bought Thing #1 and his grandparents tickets to the Polar Express. Now, we took Thing #1 on the local version of this train last year, and while it was cute, it was a little underwhelming, what with going through the junkyards and all. The icicle lights were cool and the old train was a lot of fun, but it is asking a lot of an under 2-year old to sit through.

This year, however, Thing #1 is almost 3-years old and is getting a little excited about Christmas. This version of the Polar Express is up by Nana's house and it sounds wonderful. They serve hot chocolate to kids in their PJs, and they arrive in "The North Pole" to see Santa before going back home. In fact, I am a little jealous of Thing #1. As I was discussing the general idea with the Husband about whether Thing #1 would like it, using code words of course so that he wouldn't know what we were talking, he ran up to me and said, "Mommy, Hoo Hoo!" So, I think he is a little excited about the train ride, and everything else might just blow his mind.
