Thierry Henry used to be my most favorite soccer player. Even after he moved from Arsenal, he still kept a special place in my heart. Until today. France versus Ireland for a spot at the World Cup and Henry handled the ball. He didn't just happen to get his hand in the way. He intentionally guided the ball to where he wanted it so he could score. So, Ireland lost their bid despite the fact that they are actually a decent team this year. Granted, they also failed to capitalize on missed opportunities, but Henry should be ashamed of himself.
I will now have to ask my friend to burn the soccer jerseys that we gave her little boy as presents. The husband will demand proof of their destruction.
