The High-and low-lights

The lowlights first.  We have all been sick right through christmas.  Thing #1 and I started with a bad head cold at the end of last week, then the Uncles got it, then the Husband and Grandma followed, rounded off by Thing #2 finally succumbing to the dastardly thing.  Luckily it is only a head cold.  Granted, it feels like the worst head cold in the world that is never going away, but still, just a head cold.

Now, the highlights.  Christmas was awesome!  We picked up the Uncles and Grandma on the day before Christmas Eve.  Thing #1 was so excited about Santa, and his family arriving from another country just sent him over the edge.  He couldn't stop showing things to Grandma and wrestling with the Uncles.  There was a lot of wrestling, and a little racing on bouncing things.  Thing #1 always one (Thanks Uncle W!) and he was not shy about reminding everyone.  It was so nice to seem him so relaxed with his family, especially since he hadn't seen them since the spring.  Thing #2 got so many toys, and of course, plays with none of them.  But he and Thing #1 got a new kitchen, from Nana and Papa, and the pots and pans (from Auntie R.) come in very handy for playing in the bathroom sink, which is where Thing #2 spent most of this past week.  That, or watching this on tv.

I hope you had a great holiday and Happy New Year!
