A Brave New World

It was so beautiful out today that we spent the better part of the day outside. Thing #1 was reacquainted with all of his favorite toys from last summer, including some new animals and dinosaurs thanks to our neighbor. He was missing the kiddy pool though, and didn't understand why we couldn't get it out just yet. My answer of, "It is only March!" meant nothing to him.

Thing #2, on the other hand, has discovered a whole new world to conquer. He was frantic; moving back and forth between the sand and the water, then over to the steps, then onto the grass, then on the rocking horse, then climbing up the slide, then back to the water, but wait...there might be some dead leaves to eat. He was everywhere!

The Husband took turns putting each kid onto a little (metal!) dump truck and letting them roll down the hill. It was scary enough for me to watch Thing #1 do it and I was jumping out of my skin when Thing #2 did it. Good thing they have both of us!
